Hasan Erdem Tecer graduated from Istanbul University with a degree in Business Administration in English in 1996 and began his career in the audit department at Arthur Andersen’s Istanbul office. In 2002, he joined Ernst & Young, becoming a partner in 2007. He has experience in independent auditing, irregularity investigations, dispute advisory, and mergers and acquisitions across various sectors, including energy, automotive, construction, building materials, and infrastructure. In 2015, he played a key role in establishing the irregularity investigation and dispute advisory unit at the Sofia office in Bulgaria, leading this unit until the end of 2017. In 2021, he was appointed Turkey Energy & Natural Resources sector leader, in addition to his role as assurance services leader for the Energy & Natural Resources sectors in Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia. At the end of 2023, Erdem Tecer left Ernst & Young’s Istanbul office and continued his work in management consulting.
